About the Davenport Tower
Just across the street from the historic Davenport Hotel stands the 21-floor Davenport Tower. It was completed in January, 2007 in anticipation of the United States Figure Skating Championships that were held in Spokane that year. Envisioned as the ideal companion to the main hotel, the tower offers the same world-class accommodation but with a modern flair.
On Safari
The 328 rooms and suites of the Davenport Tower feature high-tech amenities and are decorated in an opulent style that celebrates world travel — a theme that is evident from just one glimpse of the foyer, which features rhinoceros and hippopotamus statues in gold leaf.
This refined African motif continues into the lobby and beyond with stained glass giraffes and meticulously carved elephant busts with gold tusks. It showcases an exotic part of the world that is not represented in the main hotel. The fashionable (and aptly named) Safari Room on the ground floor of the Davenport Tower offers a chic place to dine and socialize.
Apart, Yet a Part
The Tower operates as a discrete entity to provide guests with the dedicated experience they can expect from every hotel in The Davenport Collection. Yet its guests still have the opportunity to make full use of the historic hotel's spa and restaurants as well as its many elegant ballrooms and meeting spaces. As a result, the tower has become a favorite destination of business travelers and convention clientele.
Along with its venerable counterpart, the Davenport Tower is Spokane’s only AAA Four Diamond hotel and Washington State’s only LEED® Gold-certified hotel. So in addition to being built to the highest standards of luxury, the tower was also built to the highest standards of green practices.
